Abstract

The article contains a finite element modeling of the stress-strain state of the structures of a foreign manufactured belt ships loader, taking into account wear from corrosion, from the effects of climatic and technological impacts of SCAD software systems. As a result of the analysis of the developed three-dimensional model, the most loaded sections of the metal frame of the ship loader were identified, which turned out to be elements of the upper and lower boom belts and supporting structures of the boom lift drive platform. Have been evaluated the technical condition of the loaded structures and other supporting structural elements. Have been determined the factors of safety and stability of the structure were determined, and have been identified its overloaded areas. Have been determined that the pulsation component of the wind pressure can lead to dangerous swinging of the structure, which is in the working position with a horizontal boom and feed head fixed in the position for loading of bulk carriers. Have been proven that the general stability of the position of the ship loader may be impaired due to sliding over the surface of the rails even under the condition of trouble-free operation of the parking systems. In accordance with the principles of rational design, recommendations for further modernization of the structure and rational amplification methods are proposed, the essence of which is to replace defective structural elements of the boom with new ones treated with zinc-containing coating without increasing the total weight of the boom. On other structural elements of the ship loader, it is allowed to reinforce defective structures by increasing the section. It is recommended to keep the structure in a non-working position with the boom raised up in case of a storm warning, to install safety lines and additional anchor systems to prevent slipping. Other recommendations have been developed for the further safe operation of the ship loader based on the results of the calculation.
