Abstract

The work presents the current state of development of design and information provision of participants in the construction process. At the same time, it is a peculiar view of the information model of the construction object as a three-dimensional model, which can unite all participants of the maintenance of construction objects in life cycles. We analyzed the experience of switching from CAD to BIM technology of design, analyzed the existing implementation scenarios and present a number of errors that may occur in the relevant scenarios, and suggest ways to eliminate them. The paper proposes a list of issues to be addressed to BIM managers and suggestions on the composition of the team for the successful implementation BIM in the project structure.
