Abstract

In the article has been described the designs and principles of operation of foreign-made ships loaders. Has been generalized an engineering experience of inspection and evaluation of the technical condition of the structures of these structures, which, due to long-term operation, have been subjected to significant losses of the cross section of the elements from the aggressive influence of sea water and chemical fertilizers dissolved in it. Has been localized the most significant defects on lengthy structures of ships loaders. Has been proven systemic nature of damage. Has been offered recommendations on the rationalization of ships loaders structures to prevent the occurrence of similar defects in the future.
