MODELING OF THERMAL TRANSMISSION THROUGH THE OUTSIDE MULTILAYERED STRAWBALE WALL UNIT

Abstract

The constructive execution of an external multilayer wall heat-and-sound insulation block is proposed. The block
consists of different density and thermal conductivity materials. The main insulating material is pressed straw, which is
treated with antiseptic and fire retardant. The external surface of the block is reinforced with a polymer mesh and a
decorative finishing layer of a complex cement-clay-sandy mortar. The inside surface of the block is plastered with a
layer of air-permeable clay-sand mixture. The system of balance equations of heat fluxes on the boundary between
layers of heat and sound insulation block is given. Numerical mathematical modeling of envelop construction by taking
into account the thermo-physical properties of multilayered straw wall block materials is executed. It is established that
the greatest values of the reduced resistance of the heat transfer for the proposed constructional implementation of the
external multilayered heat and sound insulation block at the ratio of the maximum thickness of the compressed straw.
The smallest value of thermal conductivity is obtained by the ratio of minimum thickness of compressed straw to its
maximum thermal conductivity.
