Abstract

The analysis of the impact of the emergency failure and the subsequent restoring repair of the powerful unit on the economic losses from underproduced electricity and its reduced quality. It was established that the main part of the power unit failures falls on the steam-boiler. Failures are related to the rupture of pipes of heating surfaces which are under excessive pressure. A method to determine operating time up to limit state through the use of results of data processing of measurements of wall thickness and conditions of the formation and growth of oxide film thickness on both sides of the pipe wall by solid-phase diffusion law.
