Abstract

The article is devoted to the investigation of durability of the bent reinforced concrete elements (RCE) in normal sections on the basis of deformation model (DM) with extreme strength criterion (ESC). Thus the class of concrete varied in the interval from B 10 to B 120 and the reinforcing percent varied from 0,3 % to 30 %. DM with ESC enables – except the durability of RCE – to determine analytically characteristics of concrete in the compressed zone of normal section of RCE within the limits of ultimate state, including deformation of a more compressed fibre of concrete – bu ε . Alongside, with this investigation, analytical values bu ε have been obtained depended upon the changes of the abovementioned factors. The obtained results bu ε have been compared to the analogical experimental data, mentioned in Eurocode-2. The charts of dependence of RCE ( u M ) durability and bu ε are presented here which depends upon changes of concrete class and reinforcement percent. The boundary limit of reinforcement modification of RCE has been found.
